Cooling off in the Schlei or enjoying wellness and swimming in the Fjordarium – it’s always easy to relax in Schleswig.

Swimming, splashing around, sauning and relaxing -

the Fjordarium is more than just a local indoor swimming pool. On 3000 square meters swimmers meet to practice their skills on 25 meter long swimming lanes in the sport area, non-swimmers can enjoy a joyful bath in their own pool, while our youngest swimmer splash around in a private children’s area. The modern sauna facilities with bright rest areas, a media room with Wifi connection and a bistro guarantee a pleasant stay for everybody. Aqua jogging and various swimming classes are offered regularly with ladies swimming and sauning days completing the range of activities.

Courses such as aqua jogging or water getting used to water are offered regularly. There are also hot bath days, women's swimming & women's sauna.

    Fancy a swim in the Schlei?

    Situated in the heart of the city, the popular Luisenbad lido on the Königswiesen invites Schleswig’s citizens and guests to refresh themselves. A small bistro offers drinks and snacks. However, please be careful and mind the fact that the DLRG Schleswig lifeguards will only watch over this beach in the summer. They are on duty from 1 June to 31 August.

      Bathing areas

      Bathing areas at Regattaplatz and fishermen’s net drying grounds

      In Schleswig’s quarters Holm and Auf der Freiheit you will find safe bathing areas wonderfully set right next to the city. There is a small beach at the fishermen’s colourful net drying grounds on the Holm, between St. Johannis monastery and Freiheit, and at the Regattaplatz, a staircase built in 2012 offers a comfortable entry into the cool water.
